Lake is known for outstanding Rainbow Trout fishing. Much of Convict
Lake is over 100 ft. deep.
Crowley Lake

Lake features great Trout fishing. The lake is 650 acres, 12 miles long
and 5 miles at its widest point.

Lake Loop

The June
Lake Loop is 16 miles long and consists of 4 lakes; June, Grant, Gull, and
Silver.

Lake lies two miles from the south junction of U.S. Highway 395 with
California State Route 158.
Gull

Gull
Lake is the second in the chain of four mountain lakes comprising the June
Lake Loop, and the smallest in size. Gull Lake is known for good sized
trout.
Grant

Grant
Lake is the largest of the four lakes on the June Lake Loop. A 10 m.p.h.
speed limit is imposed until 10:00 a.m. each day, to accomodate the early
morning fishermen.
Silver Lake

Lake is located within the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains at the base of
Carson Peak, just below the confluence of Reversed Creek with Rush Creek.
California Route 158 is along the eastern shore. The Rush Creek
Trailhead is located at the north end of the lake, providing trail access to
the Rush Creek Basin.
Mammoth Lakes Basin
The
Mammoth Lakes basin consists of 4 lakes - Lake George, Lake Mary, Twin Lakes,
and Lake Mamie. These lakes are heavily stocked with rainbow trout and
easily accessed by boat or foot. The Mammoth lakes range from an
elevation of 8,540 feet to 9,250 feet.

Creek Lake is located approximately 25 miles east of Bishop at an elevation of
9,682 feet in the beautiful Rock Creek Canyon of the Inyo National Forest.
Rock Creek Lake contains 65 surface acres of clear, cold, snow melt water. Rock Creek Lake is
located between Bishop and Mammoth Lakes off of U.S. 395. Rock Creek
Lake is known for monster Brown Trout.
Powered boats are
allowed although a 5 mph speed limit is enforced. Fishing is excellent
at the lake as well as numerous nearby streams. Rainbow, brown, and brook
trout provide a majority of the action but eastern brook and golden trout are
also common.
