Dixon Lake - 70 Acres  Dixon Lake California

Located near Escondido, Dixon Lake is open year-round. Night fishing is available during the summer months.  Great Bass fishing along with Catfish and Trout fishing.  3 record size bass have been caught in Dixon Lake.


Lake El Capitan - 1,574 Acres

Lake El Capitan is open Friday through Sunday for fishing and water contact sports.  From San Diego take I-8 east to Jennings Park Road, turn left onto Jennings Park Road.  Lake El Capitan is known as a premier Bass and Crappie fishery.  Minimum size limit for bass is 15 inches and 10 inches for crappie . Fish limits are five bass, five catfish, 25 crappie.  The lake has a maximum water depth of 197 feet, and 22 miles of shoreline.

Lake Hodges - 1,234 Acres  Lake Hodges California

Maximum water depth of 115 feet, and 27 shoreline miles.  Lake Hodges is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays sunrise to sunset, March through October.  Located in Del Mar, from Interstate 15, exit on Via Rancho Parkway, go west to Lake Drive, then south to the lake entrance.  Lake Hodges is know for a strong Largemouth Bass population.  Crappie, Bluegill, Catfish, and Carp also caught in Lake Hodges.

Lower Otay Lake - 1,266 Acres

The lake is open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday for fishing bass, bullhead, and trout.  From Interstate 805 take Telegraph Canyon Road exit east to Wueste Road south to the reservoir entrance.  Lower Otay Lake is known for great Largemouth Bass fishing.  Crappie, Bluegill, and Catfish also caught in Lower Otay.  Try crankbaits and spinner baits along rocky points and drop-offs.  Minimum size limit for bass is 12 inches. Fish limits are five bass, five catfish and 25 crappie.  The lake has a maximum depth of 137 feet, and 25 shoreline miles.

Lake Miramar - 162 Acres  Lake Miramar

1 months a year, closed in October.  From Interstate 15 proceed east on Mira Mesa Boulevard, turn south on Scripps Ranch Boulevard, then east on Scripps Lake Drive to the resevoir entrance.  Lake Miramar is known as a strong Largemouth Bass lake.  Bluegill, Catfish, and Rainbow Trout also caught.

Lake San Vicente - 1,069 Acres

The lake is open from March to early October on Friday through Sunday. From mid-October to mid-May weekends are for fishing only.  From Highway 67 go east on Vigilante Road, turn left on Moreno, and follow the signs to the entrance.  Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, and Catfish caught in San Vicente.  Trout are stocked in the winter.  There is an island in the middle of the lake that provides prime fishing territory.

Lake Sutherland - 557 Acres  Lake Sutherland California

Located near Julian, Lake Sutherland has a max. depth of 145 ft.  Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, and Catfish caught in Lake Sutherland.
